As we returned to the con Saturday
morning, we had to pass through the west end of the Cobb Galleria first in
order to get to the Waverly where the main portion of AWA was hosted. As it
happened, a service was being held for Yom Kippur in the same facility. The
folks attending the service did not seem to mind the cosplayers at all, but
you could see that the security folks were real concerned about this
potential culture clash ^_^
Those two attendants at the head of the
escalator were quick to politely direct AWA folks to the other end of the
center and far, far, far away from the service. Although I found it a little
humorous, my hat's off to to them for a delicate situation that was
sensitively handled. |
The Saturday line for registration was
huge and wrapped around Artist Alley. It was sure a good thing that we were
already done and could head straight for the dealer's room.
One of the first stops was the
Sasuga Japanese
Bookstore where Adam spotted a
Mahoromatic Sports Bike PVC model.
As Kristyn looked on, Adam shared his
good fortune with Pete. Then after spending a few hours trying to resist, I
had to purchase the second one there still on display. ^_^; |

As
promised back in March
at Megacon, Queen has fought against enormous odds, prevailed through
formidable trials, and has emerged victorious.
We, her friends, celebrate her return and
welcome her back to the convention circuit. |
