DreamCon 2004 Cosplay

Carl and I arrived in downtown Jacksonville about 10 AM. Since we were still quite early and there was absolutely no line at the Dreamcon registration desk, we decided to check out the Tall Ships show on the riverfront directly across from the Adams Mark hotel where the convention was being hosted.

Above is the Coast Guard Eagle on which Coast Guard officers are trained. The Eagle had actually moored the evening before, but never the less, a tug was on-hand this morning to apparently make some additional adjustments.

Above is the Jacksonville Main Street bridge just upriver from another tall ship. The bridge is in the process of being renovated and painted to be ready in time for Jacksonville to host the Super Bowl this year.

Below, Carl is checking out some of the model ships on display. On the right is the Adam's Mark where the convention was being hosted.
