JACON 8 Cosplay 2007


At 5 PM, we had the opening ceremony where the guests of honor would be introduced. Joey Snackpants hosted the activities.



First up was Tara Strong, voice actress for several notable characters including Ben from Ben 10, Raven from Teen Titans and Bubbles from The Powerpuff girls. Richard Horvitz, voice actor for Billy from the Grim Adventures of B&M and most notably the incredible Zim from Invader Zim. Gregg Berger, voice actor for Odie from Garfield, Ripcord from the original GI Joe and Grimlock from the original Transformers.


There was a brief break in the introductions while some goodies were tossed out to the crowd



Continuing with the introductions Spike Spencer, voice actor known for his roles in Papillion and Shinji from NGE. George Lowe, voice actor most well-known for his role as Space Ghost in Space Ghost Coast to Coast. Rob Granito, internationally known artist and illustrator Doug Smith, artist and voice actor. And finally, we have the beloved Steve Bennett, well-known anime convention celebrity. During his introduction, Steve called for a moment of silence from the audience in honor of the men and women we have fighting overseas.



	Finally, there was a lottery for the attendees who pre-registered early.
