Chii from Chobits won second place for the Youth award

SohRyu from Yami no Matsuei won first place for the Youth award.

Most Creative went to Cardcaptor Sakura (who was not present for the award)

Hottest Cat-Girl award ^_^ goes to Hello Kitty

Best Creature (and possibly Best Video Game) goes to Ifrit from FF XI who then danced for the wild enjoyment of the audience.

Best Likeness (and I agree 100%) goes to Aladdin and Jasmine from Disney's Aladdin.

Best Construction goes to Yuuko from xxxHOLiC

Best Prop goes to Kisame from Naruto for Samehada, his shark-skin sword.

Best Group goes to the Tokyo Mew Mew girls.

OK, now things start to get a little... messy. Apparently all Lauren had for a reference was a nearly illegible handwritten list of awards. All she could read for the next item that it was contestant 56. The audience was great, cheering for this mysterious number 56 as we waited to see who it was. Finally Rinoa from Final Fantasy VIII stepped up and was awarded the Best Attention to Detail award. Certainly this was a fine effort, but given the amazing level of competition this night, the audience seemed a little puzzled at the category chosen for this costume.

Finally, Evali from We Go 4 Kyo stepped in to help decipher the list.

Earlier, Lauren had said that everyone should clap whenever there was a technical difficulty and it turned out that there was alot for the audience to clap about.

Utena from Revolutionary Girl Utena receives the Best Anime award.

Sakura from Cardcaptor Sakura receives the Best Manga award.
