Anime Weekend Atlanta 11 Cosplay 2005

The Yoko Ishida concert was definitely the highlight of AWA for me. Now that I knew what to expect, I was on pins and needles of anticipation for the show.

It exceeded my greatest expectations.

After an introduction by the manager and staff of Anime Fusion Tour, Yoko Ishida and the Para-Para girls came out.

Yoko-san introduced herself and the Para-Para girls.

Her style of concert is a combination of song and interpretive dance.

I was simply astounded by the huge number of my favorite anime songs that was written and sung by Yoko-san starting with her debut song "Otome no Policy", the ED to the Sailor Moon R series.

One of my latest favorites is "Open your Mind", the OP to the new anime series "Ah! My Goddess". This particular song has a delightful hint of an Irish jig to it and it was so entertaining to see all three dancers swinging their heels to that segment (below).
