After I missed a year due to our
trip to Japan,
we headed back to A-kon for our annual AFS-M party. Many of the
party-goers had arrived on Thursday night so we took the hotel
shuttle to the Grapevine Mills Mall to get some dinner. That's
Jayme, Lauren and JG on the far side of the table. One the near
side is me, Harold and E-chan. Hidden behind Harold is Ten-chan,
not visible in the photo, but with us in spirit. ^_^
Friday morning, we spent time wandering the halls getting many
photos of the
cosplayers. Around
9 AM we headed for the cosplay sign-up room so that Jayme could
get on the list for the Saturday night contest. |

While waiting for the sign-up
line to open, some of the cosplayers were watching a rather
bizarre DVD from
Happy Tree
Friends. We were laughing out loud at these demented cartoons.
About a month before the party, Scortia created a Usagi/Chibiusa
picture for our cake. Around 12 noon,
I had arranged for the baker to deliver it to the hotel. |
