Having attended the first ever Anime Express last year, we were eager to return for the second year of this convention. As was the case last year, the event was held in the Miller Instructional Center. Joining us this year for her cosplay debut is the future veteran cosplayer, Jayme, dressed as Aerith from Final Fantasy 7.

Please note that all of the images for this report are actually vid-caps, so the quality will be rather poor. However, as this is the only public report of AE '98 that I have ever seen on-line, I hope that you will still be able to enjoy it.

After checking in at the front desk, it was now time to see what the dealers room had to offer.

Wandering the halls is the directionally challenged Redneck Ryouga, who will eventually become a long-time regular in future AE conventions.

In the hallway outside the dealers room, Steve Bennett draws a custom illustration on a T-sheet for one of our animarathon friends, Christine, as she looks on.
